Motorcycle Trade
Garry started the business whilst recovering from a long term motorcyle accident. Coming from a motorcycle business background, his father is engine tuner Stan Stephens, and his brother is Yamaha's Harley Stephens (who has since moved on to promote the Think Motorcycle campaign), it was natural to use his web design skills to develop sites for the motorcycle trade.
"A website is a online showroom for you!"
When working for Stan Stephens Tuning and Giant Motorcycles as a salesman I was responsible for the creation and maintenance of there websites. I realised what an integral part of your business a website could be.
A website is in effect an online showroom for you, where you can list all of your products, display a list of bikes that you have to sell and even to show off your tuning skills or restoration talents.
Kent Web Designs is run by Garry Stephens who has for most of his life, has lived, breathed and ridden motorcycles.
A Kent Youth Trials Club rider from the age of 5, a motorcycle Dragster -racer and Sprint rider since he was 16 and a BEMSEE Road Racer for the last 7 years. All this, together with the fact that most of his young life was spent working at his fathers (Stan Stephens) motorcycle shop, means that he understands the motorcycle trade pretty well.
Having worked for Giant Motorcycles in Brands Hatch as a salesman for a number of years and for numerous web design companies, he noticed that there was an opening for web designers with knowledge of the motorcycle industry.
So what you do you get extra with Kent Web Designs? We are familiar with Biketech and other software used in motorcycle showrooms. We understand the differences between bikes and the basic mechanics of the machine and have the knowledge to be able to export a database from your own stock file making it easier if you wish to sell stock online.
We are also now supporting e-bike insurance. They have been supporting me during my riding days and they have been nothing but great. If you are in need of insurance click on the link below.
